The big fella himself, Matty Preston came down to the Paddock and Farm last week!!

Was such an honour to serve him some of the beautiful house-made charcuterie produced by owner and butcher Tyron Haddock.

Matt especially loved the black pudding which I can vouch for as being absolutely moreish – the umami flavour is deep and rich, pairing excellently with the sharp acidic tarragon butter with which it is served.

We had a great time talking Masterchef, the dying art of real butchery and of course – motorbikes. Matt absolutely loved Ben Namnik’s Hunter Motorcycles. And he mentioned that self-confessed bike nut Garry Mehigan would go mad for them, too!!

Can’t thank Matt enough for finding time in his short 14 hour lay-over in Perth to come and say g’day, have a yarn and a bite to eat. Such a gentleman on screen and off. Cheers, Matty!
